Madhouse’s Claymore is one of those anime that doesn’t shy away from gore and violence, similar to Attack on Titan. The anime/manga features a fictional world exploited by humanoid shape-shifters, Yoma, who feasts on human flesh. To fight this terror, an organization creates hybrids that are half-human and half Yuma. Basically, humanity relies on self-created monsters to destroy actual monsters; sounds familiar?
5. God Eater
Ufotable’s God Eater is based on a video game of the same name. In a post-apocalyptic world, an organization comes forth to protect humanity against monsters by using powerful weapons called “God Arcs.”
God Eater came out in 2015 and featured 13 amazing episodes. Also, the anime comes from the animation studio that’s behind Demon Slayerso it is surely worth checking out.
