Attack on Titan season 4 part 2 came to a dramatic conclusion last weekend with the broadcast of episode 87 “The Dawn of Humanity.” However, the true drama occurred on Twitter only a few hours before the finale premiered on streaming platforms, as season 4 part 3 was confirmed for 2023.
Whilst fans around the world were delighted to hear about the anime series’ continuation, many are already struggling with the wait for new content. Where to read the Attack on Titan manga
The Attack on Titan manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine back in September 2009, releasing 34 volumes over 139 chapters until its conclusion in June 2021.
Kodansha US and Penguin Random House serialise the manga for international fans, with all 34 volumes being released in English.
You can purchase the physical volumes directly from Penguin Random House, as well as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, Bookshop, Hudson Booksellers, IndieBound, Powell’s, Target and Walmart.
Digital copies of the manga can be accessed through Azuki, Crunchyroll, Comixology Unlimited, Mangamo, Inkypen and Kindle Unlimited.
Attack on Titan manga sales continue to rise
Attack on Titan is one of the biggest manga in the entire industry, but the series is showing no signs of slowing down despite its conclusion last year.
This week, Twitter page ManganiMY shared the initial print sales for the three major manga publishers (Kodansha, Shogakukan and Shueisha) from April 2021 to March 2022.
According to the report, Attack on Titan was the biggest-selling manga for Kodansha, selling 1.5 million copies over the past 12 months; the only two series selling more copies were One Piece (3.2 million) ad Jujutsu Kaisen (2.15 million).
More specifically, the Attack on Titan Wiki Twitter page would then share a report that the first volume from the manga, which was released back in March 2010, was the best-selling Kodansha volume in the US in 2021.
Incredibly, the series surpassed 100 million printed copies by December 2019, with volume one featuring in The New York Times Manga Best Seller list for an outstanding 121 weeks back in 2016.
