Synopsis of The Princess Plot
Hulu’s latest action movie is more stylish than it is substantive. Joey King’s dramatic performance in ‘The Princess‘ is the highlight of the film.
It focuses on the titular character’s desperate efforts to defeat an army to save her family. Dominic Cooper portrays the villain, Prince Julius who wants the princess to be the ruler of the kingdom.
The Princess is an excellent choice if you want to see violence and popcorn entertainment. There are many confusing plot points, just like the tower’s maze-like construction. What is the secret to where the princess ended up? What is the relationship between Julius Caesar and the King? He barges in with his army to retake the kingdom in a coup.

To preserve a sense of universality, the screenwriters chose not to give names to their characters. This is a great touch, but it can be frustrating when trying to decode movies. This article will address any issues that were apparent in the story but left you unsure.
How did the Princess get in chains?
The film provides very little background information, but here’s what it does. The King wanted an heir to the throne when she reached adulthood. A female was not considered legitimate in those days. in the royal hierarchy, women were not treated in the same way as those in lower levels.
This is also shown in the scene in which Moira battles Linh, Princess and in the kitchen. Both the King and Julius suffer the same fate. The men were quick to dismiss the other gender, regardless of their ability or worthiness for the job. We see the King preparing to give the Princess away in a flashback at his altar.
She goes up to Julius, but she ultimately refuses the ring. She feels that she is the right person to assume the throne. She is not only a skilled combatant, but she has the education and experience to govern sensibly.
The King cannot foresee this because of the times and traditions. He makes her marry Julius. She is forced to be taken prisoner and held captive in the tower. She will be kept “pure” so that she is ready for the wedding night. She has other ideas.
What was the purpose of Julius coup to dethrone King?
Julius is a Hobbesian character. This tradition holds that taking something by force is a brave act. Prospective rulers should have the ability to conquer and loot. Julius is a man of this mentality, and he views the King as weak. He believes the security of the Kingdom would be at great risk if it were to remain the status quo.
A possible relationship between Julius’ father and the King is also suggested. Although it isn’t clear, the history between the men suggests that they knew each other well. Julius believed that his savage army his would easily defeat the King and allow him to take the throne.
How did Linh escape?
Linh is the courageous warrior who risked her life to save the Princess. She is the daughter Khai and is seen in chains throughout the movie. They were both part of the royal army, and taught the soldiers combat skills without using weapons.
The Princess finds Linh in her bedroom and is informed how the coup occurred. Julius attacked the Princess in the middle of the night, without warning. His army his and royal guard were overwhelmed by the strength of his mercenary band his. Julius took hostages most of the royal family members and townsfolk, and they were quickly overpowered. Linh escaped through the palace’s secret doors and did not kill them all to gain legitimacy.
The Princess and she have a deep understanding of the routes and where they lead. The film shows how the Princess and the Princess use these passages to get from one place to another, while the savages go about their daily lives.
Linh was able to hide as the palace fell. This was crucial because the Princess would not have been able to withstand the pressure if she didn’t.
What happens to The Princess?
The ending of “The Princess” is very short. The third act, much like the rest of film, begins with action and ends in action. Linh, Violet, and Princess Grace manage to reach the tower’s armory, where all the shields and weapons are kept.
They plan to defeat Julius. Violet will sneakily make her way to Khai, freeing all hostages using a small knife. She enters the secret passages, and she begins her work. Linh and Princess start their long, difficult task of taking on Julius’ men. They beat almost everyone with the new weapons and combination.
Julius finds Violet and she quietly completes her task. He is fed up with the time it takes and decides to take Violet to the altar to marry him to be King. The story continues to show how insane Julius was. He did not want the throne to serve the cause of the people, but to satisfy his lust for power.
Khai manages to free all hostages and they take off. Moira and Princess are again in a face-off. This time, however, the protagonist is able overcome and kill her the same way that she attempted to kill Princess in the earlier kitchen fighting scene.
Linh takes on Julius, but Linh emerges victorious. He is surprisingly skilled at combat. The Princess storms in to have a duel against Julius, but is subdued. He then walks out to the crowd that has gathered to see the final blows being struck. Then, something amazing happens. She recalls the lessons she learned from Linh, and then uses her calmness, patience and focus to stun Julius by striking his head with one punch.
His head is cut off, much like Ed in “The Office”. They all live happily ever afterwards, as the King declares her the next heir to their throne.
